Yumbo Centrum: AIDS ribbon memorial revealed!
A permanent AIDS ribbon memorial has been unveiled at The Yumbo Centrum in Gran Canaria (Spain).

The red ribbon has long been the symbol of remembrance for World AIDS Day after the AIDS pandemic of the 1980’s and 1990’s took a dreadful toll on the LGBT communities of that time.
The Yumbo Centrum on the Spanish island of Gran Ganaria is known as the “Gay Capital” of Europe. The new memorial comes in the form of a  giant World AIDS Day Red Ribbon on the floor of the Yumbo Centrum.
Visitors are urged  “…feel free to light a candle whenever in remembrance”.
