The AIDS Memorial Tree near the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the evening sun
I went to Queen's Park this evening to look for the AIDS Memorial Tree. Opposite the Ontario Police Memorial there is a slender tree, the memorial plaque is flat on the ground and not very visible to the public. People planted daffodils and tulips and thyme (?), other plants sprouted by itself. What a rare form for an oak. May it grow rocket high!
[The oak most probably is a slender cultivar of the European oak called 'cypress oak', Quercus robur 'Fastigiata', and its male flowers are hanging from the twigs. admin Jörn]
