In June 2019, the Science Museum in London held a workshop titled 'The Material Culture of Health Activism'. Because they had taken a block of the Dutch AIDS Memorial Quilt into their collection, I was invited to give an introduction on the AIDS Memorial Quilt in historical perspective of other ways of mourning and activism. Museum staff then unfolded block 3 of the Dutch Quilt in the lotus ceremony followed by me calling the eight names.
