In the course of the Commemoration of the Tainted Blood Tragedy which was launched on 26 November 2007, Hemophilia Ontario Central West Ontario Region planted a Tree of Life at the memorial walkway in Chippawa Lions Park.The memorial tree is a sugar maple, Acer saccharum.
