Vancouver AIDS Memorial
I'd been meaning to take some pictures of this memorial ever since I first saw it last fall.
Before this was built, there was some controversy, with some people claiming that to put a large public sculpture here, no matter who for, would spoil a beautiful spot.
Once you see it, you realize that only the hardest of hearts could complain about such a thing. The location itself was not that special or even particularly prominent. But it is surely special now. Photos © biketrouble flickr
