On this cloudy autumn day with some drops of rain, the part of Jardí d'Acclimatacaó inhabiting the Barcelona AIDS Memorial got the right atmosphere for contemplation. The olive tree to me symbolizes life in the age of hiv: Heavily cut at a certain time, it is now growing without visible limits. The heavily cut branches represent the loss of life in the 80's and 90's and the newly growing branches represent the survival of people with hiv nowadays - a wonderful symbol!
