Emlékezés az áldozakotra
Az AIDS-ben elhunytak világnapján, vasárnap a budapesti László Kórház udvarán tartott megemlékezést a magyarországi HIV-pozitívokat segélyező egyesület, a PLUSS. Az AIDS-betegek, családtagjaik és az együttérzők szívük fölé a szolidaritás vörös szalagját tűzve gyertyát gyújtottak, és virágokat helyeztek el a 3 évvel ezelőtt elültetett emlékfa előtt. Először 10 éve San Franciscóban, idén már több mint 170 országban sok ezer ember emlékezett ezen a napon az AIDS áldozataira. Az ezredfordulóra valószínűleg 35-40 millió fertőzött és 18 millió AIDS-beteg lesz a világon. Becslések szerint Magyarországon jelenleg 3-4000 ember hordozza korunk pestisét. AIDS-ben eddig 105 ember halt meg hazánkban."

Remembering the victims
On Sunday, the International AIDS Memorial Day, PLUSS, the Association for the Support of HIV-Positive People in Hungary, held a memorial service in the courtyard of the László Hospital in Budapest. AIDS patients, their families and sympathizers lit a candle and laid flowers over the red ribbon of solidarity in front of the memorial tree planted 3 years ago. First held in San Francisco 10 years ago, this year thousands of people in more than 170 countries remembered AIDS victims on this day. By the turn of the millennium, there are likely to be between 35-40 million people infected and 18 million people living with AIDS worldwide. In Hungary, it is estimated that 3-4,000 people are currently carrying the plague of our time. So far 105 people have died of AIDS in our country.
